Seminars

July 2013 saw the introduction of MANDATORY legislation which dictates what hardware can be legally fitted to Fire Doors and Emergency/Panic Escape Doors.

The Construction Product Regulations make it the responsibility of installers, property owners and buildings managers to install correctly certified hardware onto doors which provide ‘life safety’.

All this means is that some of the hardware, which is routinely specified on doors such as Emergency Escapes and Fire Doors, are in effect no longer legal.

Because of the opacity and complexity of some of the regulations, we periodically run seminars [free] in conjunction with key manufacturers such as Abloy to all who need both to get their heads round existing legislation, BSEN numbers and so on, and any future developments.

Seminar dates are flagged up on this site and, if requested, will be sent by email to all who have expressed an interest.
